Campus Kitchen is co-hosting a group of volunteers at D-Town Farm. Transportation is provided for this event. Meet in front of the Fitness Center. This service opportunity is coordinated by students leader Taylor Topolski and Tayler Curry, as part of a Ford Community Corps Partners project that twelve different opportunities to volunteer at six urban farms and gardens in Detroit this semester. D-Town Farms is a seven-acre farm in Rouge Park run by Detroit Black Community Food Security Network. Volunteers will perform light agricultural work and participate in a reflection and discussion. Expect to work outside in rain or shine. |
