Description:
During World War II, Michigan became a temporary home to six thousand German and Italian POWs. Professor of History Gregory Sumner will discuss his new book MICHIGAN POWS IN WORLD WAR II. Book signing to follow. Refreshments will be served. Co-sponsored by the Black Abolitionist Archive, the History Department, Phi Alpha Theta History Honorary, and the McNichols Library.

Description:
Join us as we deliver fresh produce to senior citizens on Princeton Street in the Martin Park neighborhood, in partnership with the Princeton Street Block Club. First-time volunteers are required to complete a volunteer orientation with staff coordinator Clara Gamalski before their shift begins. Follow this link to schedule an orientation. Transportation is provided to this off-campus service event. Meet in front of the Fitness Center.

Workshop will include a discussion of pre-interview preparation, professional dress, non-verbal communication, appropriate after-interview follow-up, and the various types of interview questions. We join together with members of the Detroit community to hold signs in support of immigrants and refugees in Clark Park every Friday. The group gathers on the corner of Clark Ave and Vernor Highway. The event concludes with prayer, followed by ice cream or snacks. Transportation is provided. Meet in the Ministry Office at 3:15 p.m. or meet us in Clark Park at 3:45 p.m.
