Join us as we deliver fresh produce to senior citizens on Princeton Street in the Martin Park neighborhood, in partnership with the Princeton Street Block Club. First-time volunteers are required to complete a volunteer orientation with staff coordinator Clara Gamalski before their shift begins. Follow this link to schedule an orientation. Transportation is provided to this off-campus service event. Meet in front of the Fitness Center.

Anna-Lisa Cox of Harvard University's Hutchins Center for African American Research will discuss her new book THE BONE AND SINEW OF THE LAND, a portrayal of the black pioneers who settled in communities across the pre-Civil War Midwest. It has received wide coverage in the media. This Lunch & Learn event is co-sponsored by the Black Abolitionist Archive and African American Studies. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

We join together with members of the Detroit community to hold signs in support of immigrants and refugees in Clark Park every Friday. The group gathers on the corner of Clark Ave and Vernor Highway. The event concludes with prayer, followed by ice cream or snacks. Transportation is provided. Meet in the Ministry Office at 3:15 p.m. or meet us in Clark Park at 3:45 p.m.
