  Auto Show Tickets for Sale
Description:
The North American International Auto Show is occurring at Cobo Hall from January 18 - 26. The Student Life Office has a limited number of tickets for sale at only $8 per ticket. If you are interested in joining the day at the Auto Show, join the Discover the 'D' trip on Saturday, January 18 from 1 - 5pm. Biggest Loser Registration Deadline

Happy New Yearís and welcome back to campus! With every new year comes new resolutions to better ourselves. Without a doubt, the most common resolution is to become a healthier you. Whether itís to lose weight, quit smoking, or just exercise more frequently, we all have something to improve. That's why the Fitness Center is hosting the 2nd annual UDM Biggest Loser beginning January 16! While this is a competition, the program emphasizes a healthy nutrition plan and exercise regimen for all participants. By signing up, you will receive a shirt, weekly updates with diet and exercise tips, and the chance to win cash prizes. All of this for only $20! Sign up today as a team of four, two, or solo. We will match up everyone in teams of four in time for the informational meet and greet on Monday, January 13, at 5pm in the Fitness Center. This will be a chance to meet the teams, ask questions, and pay the $20 registration fee, if that has not already been done. The UDM Biggest Loser is a great chance to get active, take fitness classes, and improve your overall health over the course of 12 weeks. So if your New Yearís Resolution is to become a healthier you, remember; you have to challenge yourself to change yourself. Do it with us.

Description:
Couch To 5k- For the novice distance runner, this Couch To 5k program is more than just jogging the track. Put your body to the test as you increase your endurance, lung capacity and overall health. Matt completed the Couch To 5k program in 2010, and has put his own spin on it, making it a total body workout with an emphasis on running. Drop pounds, build muscle, and feel great. Every Monday at 5-6pm

Description:
If you are interested in participating in an evening yoga class, please join us! We will be meeting in the TV room on the 4th floor in the classroom building (turn right off the elevator). The yoga instructor is Ms. Dia Johnson, RYT. Ms. Johnson studied yoga in India. If you are interested in learning more about her, please view her website www.alifeaware.com Plan $12 per session, but final arrangements will be determined once we know how many people will be joining us. If we have enough participants, the fee may be $10.

Description:
Yoga- Jim teaches a class designed to give students the experience of yoga as a journey. Using breath, posture, and movement, there is an opportunity to explore our bodies and minds using that deeper breath as a guide. Practice in this environment is full of playfullnes, and even laughter, but it also affords a time for quiet inner reflection. Come breathe with us on Mondays at 7pm and Wednesdays at 12 noon inside the Fitness Center.
