Children's Book Drive
Description:
Do you have any children books that are gathering dust on your self? Or do you have any children books around your house and not sure what to do with them? Donate them to us! Grounds CoffeeHaus is co-sponsoring a book drive with Hispanic American Student Association (HASA)and Student Social Work Association (SSWA) for Urban Neighborhood Initiatives (UNI) a non-profit community center in South West Detroit. We are collecting books now until October 25. If you are interested in donating any books you can drop them off at Grounds CoffeeHaus (located in the lower level of Student Center) and receive a FREE 12 oz cup of coffee as a Thank you for your support! Description:
Learn how distinguish between what the recruiter is asking and what s/he really wants to know! Develop strategies that will help you answer the really tough questions. Workshop will include a discussion of pre-interview preparation, professional dress, non-verbal communication, appropriate after-interview follow up, and the various types of interview questions.

The Wellness Center is hosting our annual fall health fair for our students on October 24, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in the Fountain Lounge. Our theme is breast cancer awareness, sexual assault prevention, and emotional wellness. Medical providers from the community as well as students in our Physician Assistant program will join our Personal Counseling and Health Center staff. We will also offer flu shots and anxiety/depression screening for students.
