- UDM's Women’s and Gender Studies Program and Theatre Department are co-sponsoring a benefit performance of Eve Ensler's award-winning play The Vagina Monologues.
Ensler's play served as the springboard for the creation of V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls. Proceeds from the 2013 performance will go to the organization Freedom House. Located in Detroit, Freedom House assists survivors of persecution from around the world seeking legal asylum in the United States and Canada.
