Yellow Ribbon Program for Veterans
University of Detroit Mercy is proudly participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.
The majority of schools that are participating are private, non-profit universities like University of Detroit Mercy although proprietary institutions are also well-represented on the list – and they historically attract the greatest numbers of veterans attending college on GI Bill benefits.
The Department of Veterans Affairs is now accepting and processing applications for the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Veterans should complete and submit the application form available online and apply for the program. For more information on the program, visit: http://www.gibill.va.gov/
For more information on UDM's participation, contact the school’s Office of the Registrar in Room 80 in the Fisher Administration building on the McNichols Campus or by calling them at 313-993-3313.
