International Students
Thank you for your interest in the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM). For the past 129 years, we have been providing quality education in a supportive environment that reflects the Catholic values of our Jesuit and Mercy traditions. As a comprehensive university, we offer a number of degrees in related fields, should your interests change.
For additional information about UDM, we encourage you to visit http://www.udmercy.edu/iso/. Here, you can learn about such benefits as our outstanding Co-Operative Education Program. This program allows you to work off campus in your field of study, earning academic credit and a significant income. Graduate students are eligible for the co-op program after 2 semesters. Undergraduate students are eligible for the co-op program after 2 years. Although financial aid is limited for students from abroad, the salary earned on co-op is an important benefit.
You will also learn that we have no TOEFL requirement. This allows us to admit you on the basis of your academic background without worrying about your English proficiency. We will give you an English test when you arrive and will provide any ESL classes you might need.
If you should choose to apply, international students must use the International Student Application Form. You must apply online at https://jackson.udmercy.edu/apply/apply.jsp.
