Parent PLUS Loan MPN

New Parent PLUS Loan borrowers

To borrow the PLUS Loan a parent must complete the MPN (Available upon request) and the PLUS section on the back of the student's signed award letter then return them both to the Financial Aid Office.

Pre-approvals for New Parent PLUS Loan borrowers

Parents can obtain pre-approvals from some lenders on the web or by phone. An MPN must still be submitted to UDM for additional certification.

Previous Parent PLUS Loan borrowers

A parent borrower who would like to continue to borrow a PLUS Loan must complete the PLUS section on the back of the award letter to allow UDM to certify additional funds. The parent who signs the award letter must be the same parent who previously borrowed the PLUS Loan. If a different parent wants to borrow or a new lender is being requested then a new MPN must be submitted along with the student's signed award letter.
