Entrance Counseling Requirements

Students who are borrowing loans for the first time must complete an Entrance Counseling session. The purpose of Entrance Counseling is to provide the student with information about the responsibilities of borrowing student loans. If students have any questions about the information provided in the Entrance Counseling session, they should contact their UDM financial aid advisor for clarification. At UDM, students complete the Entrance Counseling session online at MappingYourFuture.org.

First-time Stafford loan borrowers must complete Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling. At the MappingYourFuture.org website, click on the Student Loan Counseling Interview icon and then click on the Stafford Entrance icon. Follow the prompts to complete the process.

First-time Graduate PLUS loan borrowers must complete Graduate PLUS Loan Entrance Counseling. At the MappingYourFuture.org website, click on the Student Loan Counseling Interview icon and then click on the Grad PLUS Entrance icon. Follow the prompts to complete the process.
