Processing Information for the 2008-2009 Academic Year

Financial aid may still be available for the Winter and Summer semesters.  Please be aware that all financial aid must be awarded and certified by the end of the intended semester.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The first step to receiving financial aid is to complete a FAFSA.  Be sure to use UDM's school code 002323.  If you have already completed a FAFSA you can add UDM's school code.  After you receive notification that your FAFSA has been processed contact your financial aid officer to determine if you will need to submit additional documents.

Award Letter

Once your FAFSA has been reviewed you will receive a Financial Aid Award Letter.  Accept or Reject the aid listed, sign and date the back.  If you accepted loans and you are a new borrower you must also select a lender.  UDM will process loans through any lender you choose.  A sample of possible lenders listed here may give you some idea of how to select a lender. 

If there was PLUS Loan included in the award and you accept it, you must complete a PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note.  

  Entrance Interviews are required for all new borrowers.

Summer Financial Aid

Complete a Summer 2009 Financial Aid Application and a 2008-2009 FAFSA.
