Summer 2005
Scholarships are needed to help our students succeed

Over the last few years, a number of scholarships have been established to benefit students at the School of Architecture. As tuition increases, many of our students must rely more and more heavily on financial assistance to continue their education. Scholarships help ensure that deserving students have access to private education. They also help the University attract students of high achievement and promising talent.
John Kinnunen, a second year student at the School of Architecture, was last year’s recipient of the DeMaria Building Company Scholarship. He was pleased to share the results of his final semester project with DeMaria family members in a December meeting.
You, too, may have received scholarship assistance as a student. I hope you will consider a gift to one of the several scholarship funds that exist in the School of Architecture. Currently, we are working to build the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund and the Paul Reehil Memorial Scholarship and hope you will give generously to help provide the talented students of tomorrow the same opportunity you enjoyed.
Your contribution to a scholarship fund to the School of Architecture can be made on our secure giving website at www.udmercy.edu/giving. Select How to Make a Gift, then Online Giving. Be sure to indicate that you wish to make a gift to the School of Architecture. You may also name a scholarship fund, if you choose. Please contact Enid Grauer, director of Development, School of Architecture, at 313-993-1250 or graueren@udmercy.edu.
