Oakland County Executive speaks to Business and Society Class

On May 17, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson '61, '67, spoke to Professor Mike Whitty’s Business and Society class about his efforts to promote his county to investors both at home and abroad. These efforts include Patterson’s plan to make Oakland County the first in the nation to offer free wireless Internet service to residents throughout its 910 square-mile area, which would give the county an unprecedented advantage in attracting high-tech firms.
