President’s Inauguration brings week of celebration to UDM

The fall will bring an air of excitement and energy to the University of Detroit Mercy as it welcomes Rev. Gerard Stockhausen, S.J., Ph.D., as its new president. A week of inaugural celebration (September 28 - October 1) has been planned and will culminate in Fr. Stockhausen’s installation and a grand Inaugural Gala. Look for an invitation in the mail soon for this exciting event in UDM’s history.

The College of Liberal Arts and Education will share in the festivities with a reception to showcase Reno Hall. The facility has been extensively renovated to accommodate its new residents: Psychology, Language & Cultural Training, Education and Theatre. CLAE alumni are encouraged to visit the McNichols Campus on Thursday, September 30 at 5 p.m. to see the changes and meet new Dean Charles Marske. Guests will also have the opportunity to see a number of other enhancements on the McNichols Campus, including a new College of Health Professions facility and the completely renovated Commerce & Finance building.

Visit the Inauguration web site to see a preliminary list of inaugural activities.
