Alumni gather for Reno Hall blessing during Inauguration Week
The University celebrated the inauguration of President Gerard L. Stockhausen S.J., with a week of activities leading up to the Presidential Installation and Gala on October 1, 2004. Events included a concert, an opportunity for students and UDM colleagues to take part in community volunteer service activities, an academic symposium and receptions in the schools and colleges. The College of Liberal Arts and Education held an open house at Reno Hall, which was recently refurbished to house the Counseling & Addiction Studies Department and Clinic, Education Department, Language & Cultural Training Program, Psychology Department & Clinic, UDM Theatre Program and the Career Education Center. More than 100 alumni, faculty, staff and students attended the event to meet new Dean Charles Marske and witness the building’s blessing by President Stockhausen. Guests were also treated to a mini-performance of The Moonlight Room by students from the Theatre Department.
