The basis for judging candidate papers is assessment of "Contributions
to furthering the objectives of the IEEE Education Society as demonstrated
by originality, quality, advancement of the art, and effectiveness of
presentation in terms of clarity of exposition and coherence." Winners
were selected by the Transactions' Associate Editors and a cross-section
of IEEE Members.
The award is presented at the Frontiers in Education Conference, which
will be held November 6-9, 2002, at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel in Boston,
MA.
