Carla Groh, associate professor, Physician Assistant, was re-appointed commissioner for the Detroit Health Department’s Health Advisory Board by Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. She was also the guest editor of the Michigan Family Review, fall 2002 issue, which focused on “Families and Health Care.” Her article, “Assessment, Diagnosis and Treatment Practice of Nurse Practitioners Who Care for Women with Depression,” is scheduled for publication in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Journal, March 2003 issue. Groh also serves as a member of the Human Services Council for the Council on Temporary Shelter (COTS).
Judy Mouch, R.S.M., clinical track assistant professor of Nursing, co-authored the article, “Nursing the Spirit: the Framework of Systemic Organizations,” for the Journal of Advance Nursing, August 2002 issue.
Christine Pacini (LA '70, NUR '72) was named associate dean and chair of the McAuley School of Nursing as of July 1, 2002.
Joan Urbancic, professor of Nursing, contributed a chapter in two professional books: “Family Violence” in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and “Family Sexual Abuse” in Family Violence in Nursing Practice.
