The Legacy Campaign: Your Participation Is Important

The Legacy Campaign is the most ambitious and comprehensive fund-raising effort ever undertaken by the University of Detroit Mercy. Your support will help strengthen the programs, services and facilities of the University and the College of Business Administration, shaping their legacy for generations to come.

Your gift to The Legacy Campaign will support the project of your choice. Your gift may be unrestricted or restricted to a specific project or endowment. Gifts may be made in cash, securities, retirement assets, property, or any combination of these. They may be made at one time or over a pledge period.

You also may make planned gifts to the University through your estate or financial plan. A planned gift may be a bequest, a life-income gift, retirement assets, securities or property.

There are many naming opportunities available for those who wish to honor an individual, family or organization through a gift to the University.

Take advantage of online giving

UDM now offers the safety and convenience of using your credit card to make a donation online. The Internet address for online giving is www.udmercy.edu/giving. There is also a link from the UDM home page, www.udmercy.edu. The new site includes easy directions for charging your gift to UDM to your credit card. It also has a downloadable form for alumni who prefer to mail in their contribution.

Online donations via the UDM web site are entirely secure and private. Blackbaud, our donation service provider, uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to keep your information secure. VeriSign, our Internet merchant account provider, uses SSL encryption technology and stores transaction information on secure systems that cannot be accessed through the Internet. Both Blackbaud and VeriSign use firewalls and additional encryption technologies.

This new option for giving comes in time for donors to make a contribution before the end of UDM's fiscal year on June 30. Contributions recorded by that date will be included in this year's Honor Roll of Donors.

As an added incentive, everyone who makes a contribution online prior to June 30 will be included in a prize drawing for a weekend for two at the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn.
