    Ibrahim, Nizar

    Nizar Ibrahim

    Assistant Professor of Biology, teaches "Comparative Anatomy of the Vertebrates", "Human Anatomy", "Evolution" for Biology majors and "Current Topics in Biology" for non majors. Ibrahim is an anatomist and paleontologist with research interests in the anatomy and evolution of dinosaurs and a wide range of other extinct vertebrates. He also has interests in bioinformatics and in the public understanding of science. He received a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Biology at the University of Bristol (United Kingdom), and a Ph.D. from University College Dublin's School of Medicine and Medical Science (Ireland). His postdoctoral work in anatomy, paleontology, and bioinformatics, was at the University of Chicago (USA). He joined the University in 2018. Ibrahim's work has received global media attention and has been featured in several major documentary films (including National Geographic, BBC, and Smithsonian) and high-impact publications (including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and Nature). In 2014 he was named a National Geographic Explorer, and in 2015 a TED Fellow, the first paleontologist to receive this award. He was also named one of Chicago's "40 under 40" by Craig's Chicago Business in 2015.

    Ige, Abiodun

    Abiodun Ige

    Assistant Professor of Management, teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in strategy as well as leadership and teamwork. He earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management and Organization from the University of Alberta in Canada, an M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Federal University of Technology in Nigeria. Prior to joining Detroit Mercy in 2019, he worked at Brock University, the University of Alberta, and MacEwan University. His research examines topics such as central banking and foreign currency exchange, college sports, Catholic mission organizations, and immigrant entrepreneurs; he has published in outlets such as Sport Management Review and the Academy of Management Proceedings.
