Number concepts; basic operations with counting numbers, whole numbers, integers, and fractions; factoring; real numbers; ratio, proportion, and percent; decimal representations; exponents; scientific notation; geometric interpretation of numbers. Completion of this course with a grade of “C” or better is required in order to enroll in UAS095. This course does not generate earned hours toward graduation requirements.

Fundamental operations with signed numbers, linear equations and inequalities; graphing, linear systems; exponents and polynomials; factoring. This course is the pre-requisite for MTH101. Completion of this course with a grade of “C” or better is required in order to enroll in MTH101. This course does not generate earned hours toward graduation requirements.

Provides instruction and practice in effective writing, including extensive practice in fundamentals of critical thinking and college writing in preparation for English 130 and 131. Special attention is paid to generating, organizing, and developing ideas, as well as editing for syntax, mechanics, and style. Completion of this course with a grade of "C" or better is required in order to enroll in ENL 130. This course does not generate earned hours toward graduation requirements.
