Provides the theoretical base for meeting the mental health and psychiatric needs of individuals, families, and small groups in their communities. The interrelationship between psychological, social, biological, and spiritual subsystems is examined within the context of mental health promotion, risk reduction, disease prevention, and psychiatric illness management of individuals and their families. An emphasis is placed on increasing self-awareness and therapeutic use of self with relationship-centered care, with a focus of ethical and social justice issues related to mental health. The impact of health care policies and economics are explored with the framework of the mental health care delivery system. | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
