Course provides entry-level preparation for clinical treatment of pediatric and adolescent patients by the dental hygiene student. Course content ranges from infancy through adolescence, including the following topics: behavior management and development, radiology, caries risk assessment and prevention techniques, tooth morphology of the primary dentition and development of the primary and mixed dentition occlusions, child abuse and neglect, as well as treatment planning and clinical record keeping.
