NUR 442 Community as Partner: Implications for Urban Health

Prerequisites:
All 300 level courses Co-requisites: NUR 444, NUR 445. NUR 420 must be taken either prior to or concurrent with NUR 442.
2 semester hours @ 50 minutes each=24 hours for the 14 week course. This course focuses on the development of partnerships from an assets-based approach within the community as a means of addressing global health concerns and health promotion for identified aggregates in the urban community. Principles of epidemiology and public health policy will be examined and applied in addressing the health issues of the urban community, particularly health care access and environmental issues.
