HSA 330 or HSA 345, basic Excel, word processing and Internet skills.
Introduces the student to the fundamental concepts of economics as it applies to the health care environment and how it influences health professionals. The student is provided with an overview of the health care service market and an understanding of the role that consumers and providers play in this market. Analysis of economic policy and access issues that arise in the health care environment involving financing, production and organization of health systems is emphasized.
