CNS 5600 Case Problems in Counseling

CNS 5390 (Minimum Grade of B, May not be taken concurrently)
CNS 5400 (Minimum Grade of B, May not be taken concurrently)
This course provides students an opportunity to conduct a comprehensive assessment, utilizing the mental status exam and apply counseling theory to in-depth case analysis. Students will become familiar with the DSM-IV-TR as well as ethical issues associated with assessment and diagnosis. A presentation of case information is conducted with special emphasis on the relationship between assessment and treatment planning in counseling. | 3 | 0 | 0 | | |
