Overview
The Outcomes Performance Certificate Program at the University of Detroit Mercy provides qualified nurses with an opportunity to gain specialty knowledge in important areas including patient outcomes, quality improvement, nursing informatics, and health systems management. Nurses working in or aspiring to positions in management, quality improvement, or other leadership areas will benefit from the knowledge and skills they will gain from this program. Those completing the certificates may choose to go on towards a Masters Degree in Nursing in Health Systems Management.

Admission Criteria

• 1. A baccalaureate degree in nursing or another field
• 2. A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75
• 3. A minimum of 2000 hours as a registered nurse in the state of Michigan
• 4. One letter of professional recommendation from someone in supervisory capacity
• 5. An autobiographical statement of personal goals and objectives
• 6. An interview with graduate faculty
