This course explores trends and issues in U.S. health systems as they relate to the delivery of nursing care services. Emphasis is placed on the role of nurse managers and nurse leaders in addressing contemporary health system issues such as the nursing work environment, workforce demands, patient safety, quality improvement, accreditation and compliance, technology issues, diversity in the workforce, and patient care delivery models.
