NUR 5020 Theoretical Foundations in Nursing Practice

The course provides a basic understanding of the historical development of the discipline of nursing. It also provides a basic understanding of the development of the philosophy of science and its influences on disciplinary development. This course focuses on the analysis and evaluation of selected grand and middle- range theories from nursing and other disciplines and the application of these theories to research and formulating decisions in advanced practice nursing.
