HSA 5150 Leadership in Health Care Organizations

A behavioral approach to management in health care organizations by examining current theories and their application to the function of leadership. It explores how managers across the spectrum of health services organizations lead and direct. Specific managerial theories and methods, such as individual and group problem solving, motivation theory, group dynamics, leadership theory, organizational change, and communication are the focus. They provide a framework for consideration of issues associated with the role of health services organizations and health systems managers. The Internet will be utilized for research and other online course work.
