This course provides an overview of Macroeconomics, Microeconomic, and International Trade Theory. Macroeconomics topics covered in this course include the measurement and interpretation of Gross National Product and the National Income Accounts; business cycles, inflation and employment; and Federal Reserve and the money and banking system.<p> The tools of monetary and fiscal policy are examined. Microeconomics includes the fundamentals of supply and demand and the functioning of the market system and the US economy. The course includes analyses of the economic efficiency and performance of alternative market structures. It also includes an analysis of the demand for resources, and the determination of wages, rents and profits. Government antitrust and regulatory policies are analyzed in the context of various market failures.

This course is a study of statistical analysis, operations management and frequently used models in decision science and management science. Topics covered include such areas as data analysis, models and functions of random variables, regression and correlation, forecasting and time series; capacity planning, product design, process design, and layout of facilities; quality assurance, scheduling, inventory management and project management; decision analysis; optimization techniques such as linear programming, modeling, operations research and management science methods. Software packages will be utilized.

Emphasis on accounting techniques, procedures, theory, interpretation, and the use of accounting to understand changes occurring in highly computerized and diversified businesses. Managerial accounting provides key data to managers for planning and controlling as well as costing products and services. By focusing on basic concepts, analyses, uses, and procedures, managerial accounting is a tool for business strategy and implementation. The course reflects changes in the role of managerial accounting in organizations and in research on cost accounting.
