Research/Internship/Coop/Study Abroad Experience:

I studied abroad in Volterra, Italy this past summer. About twenty-four UDM students went on the trip, mainly architecture majors. We stayed in Volterra, a smaller town in the mountains, and we visited Rome, Siena, and Florence as a class. On the weekends, we had free time when some of us traveled to Pisa, Cecina (where the beach is), France, or even Venice. In addition to this being a trip to a beautiful country, it was a nice change of scenery for the classroom. The classes that we took there, taught by an Italian professor and UDM professor, Sarah Stevers, were just amazing. It was the best experience of my life and I highly encourage people to go.

I chose UDM because:

It is a smaller campus with small class sizes and is close to home.

Best Advice to give prospective college students:

Remember, college is just school --that you happen to live in 24/7

My biggest college surprise was:

All of the opportunities to be involved in with our University.

Career Goal:

My ultimate goal is to own my own dance studio.

Name one great thing about UDM:

Campus Life.
