Job Title / Description: | | Doctor of Podiatric Medicine |
Early jobs or career experiences: | | I started working at TRC Staffing Services when I was 12 years old and I worked there until I began podiatry school. My mom was my boss and I was responsible for clerical, computer, and customer service duties. My mom was harder on me than others, because I was her daughter, but I am thankful now because I gained business experience that has helped me with every endeavor. |
Most Useful Career Skills I've learned: | | I think learning how to interact with people is a very important skill that is not easy to teach. Communication is the key to success in life and in any career that a person chooses. |
Significant Achievement(s): | | Graduating from Podiatry school (2006) |
Volunteer or Community Activities: | | I have been extremely busy with school the past four years but I stay active as an alumna at UDM. I helped my mom care for my grandmother. I also enjoy spending time with seniors in the community that I have grown close too. I will help them with anything they need or just keep them company. |

My favorite UDM Classes or Professors: | | I loved all of my professors and most of my classes at UDM but if I had to choose a favorite professor I would choose Father Albright. He was an excellent professor and a great advisor. Father had a large impact on my decision to attend podiatry school. He is always there to celebrate my accomplishments and more importantly he is always there when I am frustrated, sad or stressed. Father was my professor but now I consider him a wonderful friend. But everyone in Biology, Chemistry and the entire College of Engineering and Science are amazing people who I am glad I have had the pleasure to know.
My favorite class was Evolution which was taught by Dr. Baker and Father Albright. It was very interesting. I enjoyed how they tied science and evolution into God and religion. |
Name one great thing about UDM: | | It is almost impossible to choose one thing but I would have to say the sense of family that I have always felt as a student and now as an alumna. I enjoyed the personal attention, small class sizes, and the genuine care and concern that UDM has for its students. I loved my time at UDM and the campus is still one of my favorite places to visit. |
