Currently, a shareholder, CFO, and CIO of Reising Ethington, P.C., Prof. Stevens sits on the firm's Management Committee and manages the day-to-day operations. He practices in the area of Intellectual Property which involves counseling and IP portfolio management, license negotiations and agreement writing, including joint development agreements, confidentiality agreements, and patent, software, and technology licensing. He also writes infringement and validity opinions involving all aspects of U.S. patent prosecution, including patentability opinions and appeals to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He handles foreign prosecution of patent infringement, intellectual property acquisition, including due diligence inquiry, trademark prosecution and clearance opinions. He is a Board Member and past President of the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association. Mr. Stevens is a co-author of the textbook "Patent Law Including Trade Secrets-Copyrights-Trademarks," sixth edition, published by West Publishing Co.
