In addition to teaching Introduction to Theatre, Fundamentals of Acting, Acting 2 and Music of Theatre, he is the Director of Marketing and Management for Detroit Mercy’s Theatre Company. Grobis also works with students onstage by acting in the company and directing. As a director, his production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” received four out of four stars from the Detroit Free Press. As an actor he continues to work locally in voiceovers and in the film industry.

Grobis holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance and a B.A. in Church Music from Bethel College (2005) and a M.F.A. degree from Wayne State University in Theatre Management (2008). Grobis sings professionally throughout southeast Michigan and is currently working on his first album. During the summer he is the Director of Marketing and Management for Hope Summer Repertory Theatre in Holland, Michigan. He came to Detroit Mercy in 2008.
