Biography

I was a diploma graduate in 1975 from Los Angeles County School of Nursing, where I worked for 2 years, and then joined the Air Force. I spent 11 years in the Air Force and I was stationed in Omaha, Nebraska; Spokane, Washington, the Philippines, and Phoenix Arizona. I received my BSN from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix and then my Masters in Nursing from the University of Phoenix here in Michigan. I graduated in 2007 with my Ph.D. from Wayne State University.

The research for my dissertation centered on the “Effects of Self-Reported Physical Activity in Children ages 10-12”.  My MSN thesis topic was:  “Registered Nurse’s Learning Style and Personality: Their Effect on the Success of Cross-Training".  Presently, I am involved in Simulation which we have implemented in the traditional nursing program.
