Detroit Mercy hosts 11 institutions for NCAA Pathways Programs

Detroit Mercy Athletic Director Robert Vowels hosted 11 institutions and the NCCA on campus April 24 for the NCAA's Pathways Program. This program assists individuals in athletic offices who aspire to be athletic directors. Detroit Mercy President Dr. Garibaldi welcomed the group to campus.   

Representatives and their schools who visited Detroit Mercy included:

  • Shauna Cobb, director, Academic & Membership Affairs, NCAA;
  • Karen Langston, associate director of Athletics, External Affairs, University of California, Bakersfield;
  • Padraic McMeel, deputy athletics director, Oakland University;
  • Traci Murphy, associate athletic director/SWA, Canisius College;
  • Jaime Seguin, deputy athletics director/SWA, Boston College;
  • Christian Spears, deputy athletics director, Eastern Michigan University; (not pictured above)
  • Jermaine Truax, deputy athletics director, Loyola University, Chicago;
  • DeeDee Merritt, associate director of  Leadership Development, NCAA; and
  • Adam Schulz, postgraduate intern of  Leadership Development, NCAA.
