McNichols Campus celebrations

  • Are you celebrating your graduation “golden anniversary"? Come mingle at the 50th reunion mixer in the Fountain Lounge
  • Are you a student looking to dress up and dance the night away? The Student Center Ballroom has you covered with our first Detroit Mercy Unity Ball!
  • Have you ever studied abroad? The School of Architecture opens its doors and showcases a strolling gallery of student research and international work.
  • Did you ever have Fr. Albright as a professor? After more than 60 years of teaching, our dear 91-year-old professor is finally retiring, and it’s time to celebrate. Join us in the Lansing Reilly Courtyard and toast to his health!
  • Do you love trivia? Take part in a live taping of Ask the Professor, one of the longest running broadcast shows in the United States. This quirky, unrehearsed quiz show has been on the air since the 1950s, where the audience tries to stump Detroit Mercy professors.

Be a part of the community

Campus Fall

Detroit Mercy will host a special Visit Day for parents and future students, including a resource fair of academic, student organization and community booths. Campus tours will also be available, with all alumni welcome to join! Across the street from campus, the Live6 Alliance will also host its monthly Market On The Ave. farmer’s and artisan goods market. Participate in an afternoon outdoor Mass with a special Blessing of the Hands for all members of the dental and health professions communities.

Fun for the whole family

Young children and parents are welcome to enjoy some nitrogen ice cream, face painting, bounce house, lawn games and other high-energy activities at the Kid Discovery Zone. Families can also search high and low for clues across campus at our Scavenger Hunt. Throughout the day, the Expo stage will host a number of “TED-Talk”-style demonstrations, so be sure to tune in and stop by.

Hold on tight: Tug-of-war is back

Tug of War team almost falling over

A smash hit last year, the Tug-of-War competition – fashioned after the legendary St. Francis Club Tug ‘O War –
is going to be bigger than ever and your team needs to compete. Gather four to five of your closest friends or family members and enter for a chance to make Titan history!

Eat, drink and be merry

This year will serve up some scrumptious Detroit area food trucks on campus, including Hero or Villain, Delectabowl, The Mean Weenie and Treat Dreams! For those over 21, come grab a beer from North Center Brewing Company or Axle Brewing Company at our Beer Garden: The Rathskeller. Stay for an evening of bonfires, s’mores and more beverages at our annual Heat Up the Mall, sponsored by the Student Alumni Association.
