Kresge, Detroit Collaborative Design Center to team up on childhood development initiative
The Detroit Collaborative Design Center (DCDC) is partnering with the Kresge Early Years for Success Initiative: Detroit thanks to a $200,000 grant from The Kresge Foundation.
The five-year, $20-million Kresge Early Years for Success (KEYS) Initiative: Detroit began in early 2016 with a goal to reshape the city's early childhood development system. The goal is to put into place the essential social and physical structures that support the healthy development of young children and prepare them for educational success.
The DCDC and The Kresge Foundation have a long relationship of working together on projects to help revitalize neighborhoods and organizations in the city of Detroit. Dan Pitera, executive director of the DCDC, said this grant will allow the DCDC to provide operational support for the KEYS Initiative.
