Arnold D’Ambrosio Appointed Vice President for University Advancement

Arnold D’Ambrosio has been named Vice President for University Advancement, effective Nov. 2, 2015 at University of Detroit Mercy.

Arnold D'AmbrosioAs Vice President for University Advancement, D’Ambrosio will be responsible for leading the University’s development, alumni relations and communications programs in order to build awareness of the University and secure the philanthropic resources necessary to sustain and advance its mission. He will develop and implement plans for the University’s comprehensive fundraising campaign, and also will serve as a member of the President’s Council. With more than 20 years of experience in different facets of fundraising, including nine campaigns and relationship cultivation leading to significant major gifts, D’Ambrosio will provide strong leadership for The Campaign for University of Detroit Mercy.

He most recently held the position of Vice President for Alumni Relations and Advancement at Northwood University in Midland, Mich., for the past six years. Prior to this position, he served as a development administrator at several health care institutions: Vice President for Major and Planned Gifts at Beaumont Foundation – The William Beaumont Medical Center in Royal Oak, Mich.; Chief Development Officer at Geisenger Health System Foundation in Dansville, Pa. and Director of Development for the Glickman Urological Institute – Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

A native of Detroit, D’Ambrosio received a B.A. in Philosophy and History from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. and a B.A. in English with a secondary teaching certificate from Madonna University.
