University of Detroit Mercy’s College of Engineering & Science (E&S) presents its third annual Student Research Symposium to highlight the research of undergraduate and graduate students on Friday, Oct. 16 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. in the Engineering Building's High Bay.

Each year, the College invites hundreds of high school students and alumni to experience the academic research achievements in an effort to keep momentum in these fields. The event will showcase student research and raise a stronger awareness of the engineering and science fields to Detroit area high school students.

“The Symposium highlights our students’ research with faculty,” says Dr. Gary Kuleck, Dean of the College of Engineering & Science. “The size and culture of our College encourages faculty members to engage undergraduate students in their research projects.”

At the event, the high school students will have the opportunity talk with UDM students, faculty and alumni about research and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
