School of Dentistry Proud To Present 2015 Graduating Class

University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Dentistry is proud to present its 2015 graduating class on Friday, May 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Calihan Hall on the McNichols Campus.

Jack Dillenberg, D.D.S., M.P.H., inaugural dean of AT Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, will act as the keynote speaker for the school’s annual commencement ceremony.

Dillenberg received his Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health and completed his dental education at New York University, College of Dentistry.

He has served in numerous positions on health-related boards and associations and is the recipient of a number of honors and awards, including the U.S. Public Health Service Chief Dental Officer’s Service Award and the Harvard School of Public Health Alumni Award of Merit.

“Dr. Dillenberg is a progressive and enthusiastic leader in promoting dental public health initiatives,” said Dean of the School of Dentistry Mert N. Aksu, D.D.S., J.D., M.H.S.A. “Many of his accomplishments have exemplified the mission and spirit of UDM.”

Dillenberg is recognized at the local, state and national levels as an expert in the area of public health leadership, health program development, social marketing, oral health issues, health center design, training of community health workers, community organizing and lecture presentations.

A commencement ceremony for the University’s School of Law will be held on Friday, May 8 at 6 p.m. while the undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 9, at 1:30 p.m. Both ceremonies will take place at Calihan Hall. In total, the University will graduate approximately 1,500 students during the three commencement ceremonies.
