University of Detroit Mercy and the three other institutions that make up the Detroit Area Catholic Higher Education Consortium (DACHEC) met on Nov. 10 to reaffirm the agreement that exists for the institution’s undergraduate students.

DACHEC President's Consortium

The agreement was first signed in 1967 to best develop programs in which member institutions could make strong contributions to the greater community and the Archdiocese of Detroit.  The DACHEC agreement was last signed in November 1994 and this recent signing reflects new norms and practices.

The presidents signing the agreement are (from left to right): Dr. David Fike of Marygrove College, Dr. Antoine M. Garibaldi of University of Detroit Mercy, Sister Rose Marie Kujawa CSSF of Madonna University and Rev. Mgsr. Todd Lajiness of Sacred Heart Major Seminary.
