UDM School of Architecture’s Ceara O’Leary to speak on Fellowships

University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Architecture (SOA) welcomes Enterprise Rose Fellow Ceara O'Leary to speak on "Fellowships in Community Development" as part of the SOA's 2014-15 Lecture Series.

Ceara O'LearyThe event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Genevieve Fisk Loranger Exhibition Center in the Warren Loranger Architecture Building on the McNichols Campus.

O’Leary was featured in the Aug. 18 Architizer article, “Nine Women Who Are Rocking Public Interest Design.” She has also been one of the leaders involved in the Livernois Work Group and its storefront activities to revitalize the business community on Livernois’ “Avenue of Fashion.”

O’Leary will discuss the work of the broad-scale community engagement and infrastructure planning throughout Detroit.

Following O'Leary's presentation will be a panel of additional speakers from several Detroit Fellowship Programs. These five panelists represent a range of community development professionals engaged in public interest planning and design in Detroit.
