Why you’re going to love my class
You’ll know my heart and soul is in the information. I love teaching. I hope I make it interesting. I’m fair. I’ll trust and respect you, but I expect the same. But above all, I hope you’ll always be inspired to learn more. The risk is thinking you know it all.

Great things for you at UDM
Here you can thrive in smaller classes and live in a smaller metropolis campus. UDM has purposefully kept the faculty to student ratio low so you’re comfortable coming in. It breeds a special type of education in and out of the classroom.

“We want great things for you” means
It’s our job to make sure you are better off than when you came in. A teacher’s influence lives forever if I do my job correctly.

My favorite part about teaching you is
You keep me young. And I’m nearly 64.

I was originally going to study to be a physician (and the first in my family to go to college) but I was drawn to research. I thought I could have more of an impact teaching than treating patients. And it was the right decision for me—I love it!

No other professor can say to you
I have seven children, including triplets (two boys, one girl). My wife’s a saint.
