Why you are going to love my class

My classes are practical and pertinent to what you will be doing. I will know you by name and call on you so I understand what you know. I hand out objectives and make sure you understand and study the main points for the best test results.

It's also helpful that I practice each week at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn. This gives me the chance to work with UDM students in the operating room and it gives you the chance to see that you're learning from someone who is current and capable in the field.

Great things for you at UDM
We are here for you and have your best interests at heart. Our faculty has a lot of experience and we take teaching very seriously. We have small classes and provide individual attention; we know you by name and treat you as adults.  We have high standards and enforce them, but we focus on making you successful in your studies.
Great things in store after UDM
You will have wonderful career opportunities following graduation and your certification exam. All of our 2009 graduates had jobs within 30 days of graduation. But I hope you also have a sense of humility about what you do, so that every day, with every patient you encounter, you don’t take anything for granted.
My favorite part about teaching you
Your intellect, drive and curiosity. Plus, your sense of mission and values sets you apart.
I may change your mind
Working with people is not like working with machines or equations. I hope you gain the mental flexibility to see that there is more than one way to do things, and that we are most successful when we adapt our nurse anesthetist care to the individual's needs.
Our program is unique
A sense of mission infuses our work.  Our students work in 21 community locations and volunteer eight hours in community settings. And every year, several students join a medical mission to provide medical treatment to patients in third-world countries.
