Why my class is a success

In my class, students get to know one another, and I think it's a really important part of a college education to make close friends with other students who share your interests. Also, I ask students to let me know more about them and how they like to learn.  I then design different ways of teaching and learning, so that there's something for everyone in every unit of the course.

Why I like teaching students like you

One of the things that I really like about teaching at UDM is that classes are small. I get to know all the students in my classes and I enjoy interacting with them.

My favorite part about teaching is when I see you really get an idea, or when I see you taking a leadership role in the College or the University, and actually applying the ideas that you're learning in my class to your life and the University's life. That's very exciting.

I will be available to you
I'm going to be available to you if you have a question about the class or the course work, or even about something outside of the class that pertains to what we're learning, such as an issue at work or a problem you might be having in the dorm.
Why UDM?
At UDM, you'll meet students here who share your values, you'll make new friends that you'll keep for life, you'll have professors who care deeply about you and an entire organization with the mission to help you to develop as a person, as a whole person.
Expect to get a good job

We have faculty members who really care about you and who will talk to you about career choices and possibilities like graduate school. We also have an active network of alumni who are eager to mentor our students. And, the Career Education Center will help you improve your résumé, polish your interviewing skills and find a co-op position, so that you can have some experience even before you graduate.

We want great things for you
You will have so much support during your years here that, when you graduate, you'll have a pretty good idea of what you want to do, what’s important to you, what your goals are and how to achieve them. You’ll be on your way to a career that you're happy in.  We want you to not just have goals but to have dreams, and we want to be a part of you making them come true.
You might like to know
I have eight grandchildren ranging in age from sophomore in college to first grade. One of I the things I really like about being a grandma is taking part in their activities, like watching their sports or helping them with their Cub Scout projects. I really enjoy this part of my life a lot.
