The College of Business Administration recently welcomed three new colleagues to campus: Dr. Leonard J. Kloft, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs; Dr. Fang “Rose” Yang, Assistant Professor of Accounting; and Dr. Mithu Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor of Decision Sciences.

Faculty Research

The CBA faculty are among the nation’s leading business thinkers, who regularly publish their research, such as Dr. Suk Kim, who published his latest book, The Survival of North Korea: Essays on Strategy, Economics, and International Relations.  A complete list of recent faculty publications can be found at the College website, http://business.udmercy.edu/.

Alumni Succeed in Business

Our alumni and alumnae continue to succeed as leaders in their chosen fields.  For example, Emil Brolick was recently named President and CEO of The Wendy’s Company, which operates restaurants throughout the world, and Marty Welch has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Visteon Corporation, a major auto parts firm.

Hall of Honor Recognizes Accomplishments

The College of Business Administration inducted eight new members to its Hall of Honor this year, including a bank president, a former Mayor of Detroit, an auto company executive, a labor union leader, a member of a religious order, a distinguished academic, and two leaders of the news media. The honorees, all CBA alums, have exemplified the Mission of the College, demonstrated the Jesuit and Mercy traditions of service to others, and have distinguished themselves in their careers and personal lives.  See photos and read more about them at our website, http://business.udmercy.edu/alum-bio/honor/2011/index.htm .
