Effective Communication in the Work Force

Effective communication is among the top "career readiness competencies" that employers look for when considering a student or recent graduate for employment. This information session will be presented by professional recruiters and Detroit Mercy Alum from Real Estate One, the largest broker in Michigan. Real Estate One was also ranked in the top ten Top Workplaces in Michigan for the past four years.

Who should attend? 
Any student preparing for or actively involved in the search for an internship or full time employment.

  • The importance of effective communication skills in the workforce
  • What employers consider to be effective communication skills
  • Examples of how effective communication is applied in the labor force
  • How are effective communication skills are evaluated by your employer
  • How to present your communication skills to a potential employer during the recruitment process
